A jury convicted Philip Puche of first-degree murder on Wednesday, April 3 in the fatal stabbing of Nancy Kenny. He also was found guilty of burglary and a weapons offense.
Puche, 76, faces life in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for May 17.
On July 19, 2020, Puche stabbed Kenny outside of the home she shared with her new husband in Audubon Park, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay.
Authorities brought Kenny to Cooper University Hospital for emergency surgery after she suffered multiple cuts to her head and neck..
Puche was arrested that day and held in the Camden County Correctional Facility.
Kenny, 63, succumbed to her injuries on March 15, 2021. Her death was ruled a homicide caused by complications of multiple incised wounds to her head and neck, MacAulay said.
